Epworth Foundation

"The ability to read, write, and analyze; the confidence to stand up and demand justice and equality; the qualifications and connections to get your foot in that door and take your seat at that table—all of that starts with education."
-Michelle Obama, International Women’s Day 2016

Epworth School in KwaZulu Natal (KZN), South Africa is a well-known centre of excellence in education. Now 120+ years in existence, Epworth celebrates its position as one of South Africa’s leading independent schools. Epworth is proud to have produced numerous top academics, sports stars, creative artists and societal leaders.

Epworth School is committed to share world class education more broadly. This is why it started the Epworth Foundation.

In a tight economy, the fledgling Epworth Foundation is proud to announce it raised a remarkable R1 million in revenue in 2018 and has now issued a first report, in celebration hereof. Uplift our nation through quality education.
A South Africa where deserving talent is identified and cultivated to serve our country and its people.
We need to engage with people who believe, as we do, that quality education is "the great engine of personal development" (Nelson Mandela) and is South Africa’s MAIN HOPE for a prosperous future.
