At its core, the Epworth Foundation seeks to assist Epworth financially to survive and thrive for another 125 years and more. Our largest support team are our Epworthians.

We are passionately committed to this cause as we believe the world is a richer place for the legacy of prominent global citizens educated through Epworth since 1898.

This 2023, we are celebrating 125 years of outstanding education as we applaud 'Epworth into the Future'

This year – 2023 - Epworth is celebrating 125 years!

Our world is forever changed by the COVID-19 pandemic however at Epworth we believe these needs remain constant:
• the development of relevant, resilient and ethical leadership for our country and our world and
• the need to invest in LIFE WORTHY and LIFE READY education for our youth.

The Epworth Foundation is proudly spearheading a 125 Giving Campaign  - with the goal of raising ZAR 1,25 million in this 125th year.

The campaign is in action already, running from April 2022 till the end of December 2023.

It commenced with a most generous gift of R50 000 from a (preferring to remain anonymous) past girl (class of ‘73) and we pray will open many more generous hearts in support of our school.

Please know the Foundation welcomes gifts of ANY SIZE. It is the heart behind a gift that matters most. (Donate here)

For those able to gift ZAR 3000 (three thousand) – payable once-off or intermittently - a mural is being created. Each R3000 gift will purchase one of 400 x available ‘mural blocks’. We hope to build and complete this mural by end Dec 2023, in perfect replication of a valuable artwork donated to the school by renowned contemporary African artist, Makiwa Mutomba. The original artwork was magnificently presented on May 5th 2023, along with a cheque for the funds raised thus far being R1 011 250.00

This gift of giving to complete the mural, and in support of Epworth ‘into the future’ will be celebrated throughout 2023.

With God’s grace and your continued, generous support, may Epworth continue to grow as a ‘pocket of educational excellence’ into the future.
