Amidst this busy season of final functions and exams, we continue to navigate our journey towards transformation at Epworth. We recently announced the changing of the competitive house names to the relevant colours, while we put in place the process to rename the houses next year.
In the High School, we have also started class discussions on issues of discrimination and identity which we have called “Let’s Talk”. These have been happening all term and will continue into the end-of-year programme. The purpose of these class talks is to give smaller groups of girls an opportunity to tell their stories and to give the classes space to reflect on their own identity and the impact on how they see others. We have covered topics such as privilege, inclusivity and how we are pre-programmed by societal constructs and family backgrounds.
